Hare on the Moon

The first time I listened
To the story of the
Hare on the moon
I too wanted to go there
Not for the moon
But for the Hare
Who probably was still there

I kept wondering
How it must have felt
To have a celestial body
All just to yourself
There's the majestic view
Without the slightest sound
It must be surrealistic
But how would it feel
With not a dear one around

I was worried then
But days passed and
I knew it was probably
Just a special tale
Now as I look up at the moon
I find myself still wondering
About a possibly unseen rune

There must be more
To the compassion of the hare
Is it there to soothe a soul
That looks up for solace
In nights when
The moon is not whole
Or to convey hearty whispers
From the loving souls
To their beloved listeners

------------------------------------------------------------------
A little behind the scenes:

When I listened to the story, I knew it was a story. However, as it always has been, I somehow associate life with everything, even inanimate objects. So, I kept wondering about the hare and its feelings.

I wondered if it was infact a gift to be on the moon or if the hare felt otherwise. But as time passed on, I tried to make peace with the situation of the mythical hare. But every single time I see the moon, when the silhouette of the hare is apparent, I return to my childhood musings.

The hare is a symbol of compassion, intuition, creativity, new beginnings, and spring time. So, it makes sense that it might be there (symbolically) for a reason. Probably it acts as a medium of communication between loved ones who are far apart. Or it may act as a companion to someone who is probably feeling a bit blue and aloof. Or just to tell, "You are not alone. You might be on earth and I might be alone on moon. Even if I am a long way from you, I am there for you. As long as we are there together, we are never really alone."

Of You

The lovely smell of spring
Reminds me of You.

The cheerful vibrancy of flowers
Reminds me of Your smile.

And the fervor of colors
Reminds me of the way Your eyes sparkle
When you speak.

The vividity of the evening sky
Reminds me of Your amused expression
Responding to the silliest of things.

Every single aspect of the cosmos
Reminds me... of You.

AI and the Human Aspect

We are losing the human aspect. This is the rise of the machines.. not some android (not the OS, though it's no different) rising and kiling humans.

The machines here are kiling the human aspect so skillfully that we are not even aware of it. Use machines. That's okay. But letting the machines use you while you think that you are using them is not (as per me).

We let go of the letters... the handwritten ones. Fine. Atleast email was there. We were using machines to send it. But we were the ones that wrote it. So, we had some creative bits left in us. Now, we are using machines to write mails for us. Not even the words are ours.

Traveling. We used to travel on our own accord. We used to decide the places, we used to plan how to travel, we used to ask people about review of a place (though using machines). But we planned
everything there. Now,  we don't even have the zeal to decide that. Ask the machine and it will tell you which city and which all places in the city to visit, where to eat, everything. Do we have no personal preference? I mean use the machine to get information and add your own imagination.. the human aspect to make a plan that is specific to you.

Writing. Even that! Machines are writing poems and stories. How will a machine feel the warmth of the sun, the freshness of a cool ocean breeze? How will it experience the magic of love or the sorrow of a broken heart? (And goodness forbid.. if a machine actually starts feeling it, that will be the end of the humans as we know now.)
How will it experience the magic of love or the sorrow of a broken heart?
Are we ready to devoid ourselves of even the emotions and feelings? Are we ready to lose the human in us? Are we going to let the machines decide and choose everything for us? If yes, then who actually is a machine? The system that humans built to act as tools... or us humans, the organisms who are slowly turning into tin hollow dolls?

P.S. I am a human. And I am not going to add "I am not a robot" checkbox to prove myself to a machine (Just saying... I know why it has become necessary).

Machines, I am not against you. I support you. That's why I want us humans to stop morphing into machines.

P.P.S. These are my feelings which comes from one perspective. Everyone will have their own perspective and hence, may feel differently about the same. I understand your take on it. Please feel free to voice your opinion.

Devoid

Feelings have
A language of their own.

Let it be constricted

Just to make sure
That the words in this language
Are not being too extravagant.

What if they are clothed
In a translucent veil?

What if they spell out everything
Without realizing
That the place they are in
Is not in the middle of nowhere
Or in the landscape of the world
That lies within the realms of my heart

But is a podium
In the bare world
Of monochromes
With hints of rainbows.

What if they mistake
Those tiny splashes of rainbows
To be the ethereal paintings in my heart.

Let it be constricted.

And thus the world becomes
Devoid of another expression.

Sculpted in Heart

In the depths of the alluring night
The silvery moonbeams
Dazzled upon the pink petals
With a dreamy delight

The spring fervor spelled of thoughts
Thoughts that have You in every essence
The air spoke the language of adoration
And the stars witnessed
The brilliance of your presence

With your enthralling smile like divine art
And your love sculpted in my heart
Forever and more is just a start

Kiss of Adore

As the evening glided
With a soothing pace
The memories whispered
Of tales twined in pastel green lace

Chronicles of the breathing sky
And memoirs of the balmy breeze
Narrated the stories of the one
Who lives across the seas

It reminded me of your dreamy smile
And the sweet kiss of adore
And of glorious moments that we treasure

Perfect Paradise

A place of bliss
Where hopes and wishes fly
An abode of dreams
Across the purple sky

It feels like a conundrum
Like the depths of your gaze
The sweet aroma of dusk deepens
And the camellia merrily sways

The radiance in your smile
Glistens with absolute grace
In every notion of universe
There is perfect paradise in your embrace

Eternal

The yellow sunflowers
In the sprawling fields
Glanced at the glowing horizon
As the sun set beyond the goldfields

The moments of the farewell
They gladly embraced
For they know they have avowed
For their destinies to be interlaced

There might be distances
Either spatial or temporal
But this "us" is forever and eternal

About Me

My photo
As a blogger, one of the things I am often asked is "How/ When did you get started with all this?" For as long as my memory takes me back, I have always found myself pondering about a plethora of things. I have always loved reflecting on the small but wonderful aspects of life. Ipsita Contemplates has been very special and I love to get the opportunity to share my musings, my thoughts, and my perceptions with you. It is also a way to appreciate the essence of Life!
