How To Say The Final Words!!

She looked in his eyes that looked back at hers. His eyes, which always reminded her of spring, were pale now, almost like a land cursed to be frozen forever. His lips trembled as he pleaded.

“Please.” It took him every ounce of his resolve to utter that single word.

She did not feel the pain of her injury anymore. It was his expression that burned her heart and tore it into a thousand pieces. She felt his arms snuggling her tighter than ever, as if they were resolved to not let her go.

She felt a tug in her stomach as she knew that she was about to say her last words to him. She wished to see him smile for one last time, but it would be too cruel to ask that of him. If he couldn’t find the way to his tears, searching a smile would be too treacherous.

She must make her peace that she would not be able to witness the warmth of his smile anymore, in whatever few moments she had left of her life. And that she was about to leave him in this condition. She would not be there for him when he was that vulnerable.

(The above snippet is based on a POV. )

POV: Having to witness your beloved die in your arms.

Having to witness your beloved take their last breath is heart-wrenching. But if you are the one dying in your beloved's arm, that would feel cruel too, knowing how his world would be shattered when you leave him all by himself. You would probably die a thousand deaths before your life finally runs out...knowing of the pain you would leave him in.
