Fragrance across the mile


Deep in the woods somewhere
A flower bloom
Bright as day
With a charming perfume

The trees around never heeded it
Unaware of such magnificence
Few dreaded it

Days later it withered
Yet it smiled a weak smile
And traces of fragrance
Breathed the air across a mile
