The smile and the laughter

Half veiled sometimes

By a slight touch of hands

That adorable expression

While trying to

Make sense of something

And then the witty remark

Adorned with

The tint of nonchalance

Is it the cosmos humming

Or just the heart beating

To the rhythm of Destiny

Few unspoken words

veiled by the demure lips..

Some unexpressed emotions

peeping through the silent smiles..

And a hint of unprofessed feelings

waiting behind those stolen glances....

Old out-of-context photos

probably express a lot more than

they were supposed to.

Would it have been different,

if we were more aware?

Or was it always meant to be the way it has?

"Has autumn arrived in your city?" he asked.

"My seasons are heart-bound," she replied with a hint of smile.

"And isn't home the abode where heart resides?" he quizzed looking at her with a mysterious gaze.

"Yes! But my 'home' is not a place... ," she said as she glanced at him.

And she witnessed a mystical smile in his eyes.
